Title: Graduate Admissions and Fundraising
Objective:
Activities/Appointments:
- PAL orientation, Visited Department of State
, Leadership Training
- Visited and built networking with senior
faculties of Education and Communication Department, International Student
and Graduate Admission offices at various universities and also met International
students in universities
- Attended one day workshop on Developing
a Fundraising Plan at Foundation Center Foundation
- Attended NAGAP Conference in Las Vegas
Findings:
- Most of the U.S. institutions that I visited
would like to have DVC opportunities with us to discuss on specific topics
and to talk to students, school principals and to confirm and exchange views
on current news, issues, intercultural sensitivity, politics and other hot
news (crisis communication).
- Education Leadership program is a good program
to become an American school principals. This program will be valuable for
international students if those students are planning to be involved in U.S.
oriented international schools.
- There is a challenge in doing fundraising
especially in finding a donor, writing a proposal and maintaining previous
donors.

arranging the travel and making sure we are taken care of during the program
and also her staff who worked endless for preparing all of our needs.

for the program
Follow up/Next Steps:
- Conduct an in country workshop to transfer
knowledge to other advisers in understanding the role of teamwork in doing
fundraising and to provide current information regarding application to U.S.
higher education with its admission requirements and procedures
- Develop an orientation and information update
sessions about graduate programs on popular majors and professional ones at
the center
- Advocate more strongly for and provide information
on U.S. higher education to public at both UG and G levels
- Write an article on selected topics related
to research
- Participate in sessions and workshops as
opportunities available.
