OPPORTUNITY GRANTS 2009-2010
The US Department of State is pleased to announce the Opportunity Grants Program, designed to support the application process to US higher education institutions for students who are highly qualified but are unable to cover the expense of applying. The Initiative provides funds to cover the costs faced by talented but financially disadvantaged international students who are not eligible for or funded by other US Government-sponsored exchange programs. Students must apply to accredited institutions independently (at the graduate or undergraduate level) and are responsible for the entire process. More ...
SEVIS FEE INCREASES
The new funding will create a new database that will improve interactive features for school administrators and dramatically reduce user errors. SEVP will begin school recertifications to help verify and further educate school administrators on program requirements. The fee increases will allow the program to hire more regional field liaisons to provide day-to-day advice and assistance to schools in support of their programs. More ...
